Scope and operator
This policy describes the current NCLEXapro bot implementation and its pages on Siahverse, operated by Siah. The bot supports daily scored quizzes, private answer feedback, and opt-in reaction alerts. Changes to these data practices will be reflected in this policy.
What the bot uses
The current bot uses its configured Discord channel ID, operator-supplied question text, answer choices, answers, and rationales to publish study messages. It stores posting dates, question identifiers, Discord message IDs, and the subscription announcement channel/message IDs in a local database to track delivery and avoid repeated posts and alerts.
The bot uses reactions to its subscription announcement to add or remove the NCLEXapro Alerts role. Reaction events supply a Discord user ID, which the bot uses to look up that member and update their role. It reads its own announcement and the users who reacted to restore subscriptions after a restart. Subscription membership is stored by Discord. For scored quizzes, the bot also stores Discord user IDs, first answer selections, and correctness in its private persistent database, along with question snapshots and thread/message identifiers. These records preserve answer locking, progress, and scores across restarts. It processes answers submitted through its question controls; it does not read unrelated channel messages or direct messages. Its token is a server-side credential and should never be posted publicly.
Private quiz feedback
Selections, results, rationales, progress, and final scores are delivered as ephemeral Discord responses visible only to the student who submitted the answer. Classmates cannot query another student’s progress through the bot. This is privacy from classmates, not anonymity from Discord or the operator, who can access the stored records. Public questions and thread discussions remain visible to members with channel access. Weekly topic polls use Discord’s native polls and are not anonymous.
Discord and website hosting
Question posts are sent to Discord and visible to people who can access the destination channel. Discord processes data under its Privacy Policy. Siahverse is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process request information such as IP addresses for delivery and security under its Privacy Policy.
Website preferences
These pages use Siahverse’s shared theme setting. On siahverse.cc, an explicit theme choice is saved in the sv_theme cookie for up to one year. It stores a light or dark preference. You can remove it through your browser settings. These pages add no analytics or advertising trackers.
Retention and sharing
Posting history is kept while the bot operates to prevent repeated questions. Saved first answers, correctness, question snapshots, and quiz identifiers are also retained in persistent storage to preserve scoring and prevent answer changes after restarts; there is no automatic deletion period in the current implementation. The operator can clear this history when resetting or retiring the bot. Configuration and imported questions remain until the operator updates or removes them. The bot does not sell personal data or use student activity for advertising. Discord messages remain subject to Discord and server retention and moderation practices.
Requests and removal
Contact Siahverse privately through your Discord server administrator for privacy or deletion requests. Do not put private information in public GitHub issues. Server administrators can remove the bot and delete its posts. Removing the bot or unsubscribing from alerts does not automatically delete past messages, posting history, or saved quiz answers and scores.
Protect your information
Do not submit identifiable patient information, student records, passwords, or tokens. NCLEXapro has no need for these. This bot is intended for a nursing study group; members must meet Discord’s age requirements.
